Building Plan

BELRANCHO:
The property was originally the site of the village's school from the mid 1950' until 2000. When a new school was built elsewhere, the property was sold to a person who started to turn it into an orphanage. We purchased it from that owner and have transformed it into staff housing. In addition, we have leased the surrounding 3.5 acres and have fenced them in. The land sits on top of a hill with plenty of trees and a lovely stream that runs behind the property. In the summer, when all is in bloom, it is spectacular!

PHASE ONE
The ranch will start breaking ground on the stables in the spring of 2010. We will begin with 10 trail horses, and an outdoor arena for riding lessons. The trail rides will last 1 hour and will cover beautiful countryside at different times of the day depending on the time of year. The ranch will be open Tuesday-Saturday. Private and group lessons will be available for those who would like to learn how to ride western style. You will be required to call for availability and to make reservations. No walk-ins will be accepted. You need to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start time to receive a safety briefing and sign your medical release form.

PHASE TWO
In the spring of 2011, the ranch will begin shipping traditional “Cowboy Horses.” Quality, registered, quarter horses will be shipped from the US to the ranch. They will be used in advanced private lessons, for future shows, and breeding. We will be able to start training folks in barrel racing with the addition of this fine breed. We will also build seating for the arena and enclose the riding arena so that year-round riding will be available regardless of the weather. Construction of the "cowboy clubhouse area" will also begin. This fun spot will include a place for small children to swing, slide and play in the sand box. There will be a volleyball court filled with sand in the summer and ice in the winter for hockey and skating. The putt-putt golf course will be a favorite, along with several other games and activities to keep children of all ages going all day.

PHASE THREE
As finances permit, we will begin work on the “Ranch Headquarters.” This building will house the Cowboy Cafe', Leather Shop, and Souvenir Shop. People will be able to enjoy some good cowboy cooking, whether in the cafe' or at the picnic tables outside. At the leather shop, you will be able to purchase everything from a hand-made, leather Belrancho key chain to western chaps. At the souvenir shop, you will be able to purchase cowboy hats, order cowboy boots, and quality works of cowboy art. Of course, there will be plenty of western decor and memorabilia available for purchase to remind you of your visit, as well.
When we have completed these phases, there will be no place like Belrancho in all of Eastern Europe. You will be able to come and spend the whole day riding, playing, eating, and having a good ole time in a family-friendly atmosphere.
